Our colleague Waldemar Dietrich became coach of the ECDC Memmingen women's ice hockey national league team in 2021. With the team's sporting successes, more and more colleagues discovered their enthusiasm for the women's ice hockey in Memmingen.

Since 2022, ematec AG has been the team's sponsor. In the 2022/2023 season, the team not only dominated in the national league championship games, but also reached the play-offs of the German ice Cup in Füssen. As it seemed pretty obvious that the team would qualify for the final, a bus trip to Füssen was organized and a great number of colleagues took part. Although the Memmingen team Indians ultimately lost 3-0 to the ERC Ingolstadt team, our "fans" enjoyed an exciting final and were all happy about the second place for Waldemar's team.
